adidas expand their ‘Limited Collection’ with the release of the Eskolaite Pack. A two silo pack of ACE and X drenched in a covering of chrome treatment as adidas transform their football revolution with a unique new coating. The fearless new look adidas boot line-up slams down another bold statement on the changing room floor by sliding out of the showers, throwing off their towel and dropping two big ol’ chrome finished tools on the medical table.
If you, like us, paid very little attention in Science at school you also wouldn’t have known that Eskolaite is an uncommon Chromium Oxide mineral. A what? Shiny, it’s shiny. Released in limited quantities the ACE 15.1 Eskolaite has undergone a dramatic makeover, the latest release underlining the fearless approach adopted by the new look adidas Football.
That got weird quick. What we’re trying to say is that the shackles are firmly off at adidas HQ, the brand have a brassy new approach to football footwear and the new Eskolaite Pack the latest transformation to drop on the X 15.1. Barring the bright green Techfit collar and laces every last drop of the upper and X-Cage is dipped in Eskolaite (an uncommon Chromium Oxide mineral, obviously) to create another bow on the crazy string of the chaos boot.
The chrome coating flows across the upper of the Adidas Predator Absolado Instinct FG boot to submerge the three stripes and is accompanied by green accents on the heel, insole and soleplate to give the ACE 15.1 Eskolaite Pack a bold and disruptive vibe. Tech wise the ACE 15.1 remains unaffected with its Control Web technology untouched by the chrome takeover, an asset of the boot which we ran the rule over in our recent ‘Laced Up’ feature.
The “Eskolaite Pack” is the latest line out of adidas’ new Limited Collection and will drop from today in restricted quantities along with a ACE 15.1 version, both exclusively in FG. It’s different, it’s disruptive and it’s going to split opinion and that means job done for adidas. The new colour wrap may look like it packs a different texture to the standard X 15.1 drops but the technology of the boot remains the same, albeit with an added sense of bling.
