News; Junior Nike Natural Diamond Mercurial Superfly CR7 FG Royal Blue

Published: Monday 25 April, 2016

With UEFA EURO 2016 France and Copa America Centenario just around the corner, PUMA pulled out the stops in London to launched another colorful update across their evoSPEED and evoPOWER silos.

We were there to show you exactly how the likes of Sergio Aguero, Antoine Griezmann, Marco Reus, Michael Bradley and their PUMA colleagues will stand out on the international stage this summer.

To celebrate the launch of Tricks, PUMA set up an incredible event on the Southbank. The setup featured a maze of different rooms that took us through a series of color-filled soccer challenges designed to test our skills and the new footwear.

French and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry welcomed Nike Junior Football Boots us at the entrance to this soccer extravaganza and talked about some of the technical updates on the new cleats along with his excitement to see these vibrant new updates on the pitch this summer.

“Having a different color on each boot shows how important it is for players these days to stand out,” Henry said. “It gives you the feeling and the confidence that you can deliver with you performance on the field.”

From there it was time to suit up in our training gear and cleats before we were lead through to the first of three color-related challenges. This passing and control challenge tested our vision, first touch and passing accuracy by shining a combination of pink and yellow lights on different targets at ever increasing speeds.

The second challenge tested our speed and agility with and Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 without the ball in a relay that included slalom poles and hurdles, coated with a vivid pink and yellow chalk. Every time a pole or hurdle was touched chalk would fly into the air, which, coupled with our footwear, created an extremely colorful and chaotic atmosphere.

Just as we though things were getting a little bit too messy, a final paint bucket target wall challenge was introduced. This challenge was designed to test our shooting accuracy hitting small buckets full on pink and yellow paint that exploded with color on impact. Before we could begin the challenge, PUMA surprised us all with the introduction of Colombian hit man Radamel Falcao, who appeared through a side door and promptly began smashing down the paint bucket targets with incredible accuracy.

After we had all tried our luck on the target practice drill, there was a chance to chat to Radamel and a host of other stars who were at the event including Cesc Fabregas, who gave his thoughts on the new PUMA footwear that he’ll be wearing in the European Championships in France this summer.

“PUMA have done it again and set the style this summer with their signature bold two-color boots,” the Spanish midfielder said. “I’m really proud to be representing Spain in the EUROs this summer, and looking forward to standing out in these boots through the tournament. There are exciting weeks ahead.”

After an action packed day full of testing, color and star athletes, it was back to the dressing rooms to get cleaned up and depart the venue leaving everyone excitedly anticipating seeing PUMA’s stars and their new Tricks cleats in action this summer.
